So i have been considering upgrading my current RAM with is 4gb, to something more. My computer can handle up to 16gb, but i wont be needing that much. What i’m curious about is whether i should upgrade to 8gb or 12gb? Would the difference be significant? Also my processor is a quad core running @ 3.00GHz. I would love to hear your suggestions!

upgrade to 12gb, setup AE multiprocessing and enjoy in background render, work in AE, internet, music, skype, photoshop etc in same time 
I have 12gb ram + cpu quad core amd 2.6GHz. But Im planning to upgrade to intel i7 + about 24gb ram, Im only not sure about new graphic card. I’ll wait to see what ae cs6 users have to say

I have 16gb ram + cpu Intel i5 with graphic card GTX 460 1gb ram. I was quite happy for now. but I plan to upgrade my cpu to Intel i7 in this month.

So Buy as much ram as you can and Go on cs5. It worth’s every penny.

Imagine how i felt (not tips ) jumpin from dual core with 2gb ann ae cs4 to this monster and cs5. Really amazin to work with it (knock on wood)
