Beside the fact that some old items should be cleaned to leave space to new higher quality ones I noticed that overall the quality improved a lot and I’m very happy about that!!
But in some cases NEW items really looks like they’re Photoshop experiments made by a beginner… why this happens? Can we have the chance to say an item is not appropriate to stay in the market?
I’m not that good designer but some stuff is really objectively terrible and ruins the overall image of the market. Everything should be awesome…
Thanks for the comprhension on my rough opinions

Everyone has the right to suck. Personally, I like to put the “suck” in “success”. Still, I think GR is doing fine, and has improved a lot since the standards went up.

I must I have been quite shocked since the change, some items really don’t have the high standards in presentation that I would expect also the choice of colours, while most time the content looks good the presentation making it an unappealing buy.

Agreed. I see some things that are not useful for people and aren’t getting sales.
Yeah, I’ve seen many new items that are quite terrible and I wouldn’t have imagined that they’d get approval even before the supposed changes, imagine my amasement when I see those getting in while things are supposed to have changed to a more strict basis. I don’t agree that everything should be ‘awesome’, but the items I’m talking about aren’t even close to acceptable.
Exactly! there are few files once in a while that are like “What? How did this even get through??”

My thoughts exactly, I see some stuff that made me think “THIS fit GR’s strict aesthetic guideline?” then I go to the forum about rejected items and some of it is quality stuff. I guess it depends on which reviewer you get.

My recent item approved was rejected once before I resubmitted. The reviewer said something about the stroke being too thick. So I made it thinner and eventually ended up going down a different route. I get email today saying it’s been approved, which I was happy about. When I was looking through the other addons I came across a bunch of really bad photoshop styles that I cannot understand how it got approved. They look very horsey.

I don’t agree with that. I don’t think that new items suck
It’s true that not all the reviewers have the same criteria, but I think that authors are doing their best to get a file accepted, and I noticed that lately there are a lot of new authors on the marketplace, so they have time to improve their style and their files. I don’t see very polite to critic other authors. Just saying.

I agree with you guys, please don’t get me wrong, but maybe, just maybe, if we focus on our own items and how we can make them better instead of pointing out someone else’s item, eventually the collective standard will rise and we will not have to worry about it anymore.
An author always knows if his item is quality material or not. I know, some don’t care, as long as the item is approved, the author is happy. Anyway, I don’t really see why an “aesthetically inferior” item bothers so many people.
Lets just be a little more patient, and trust that the reviewers know what they are doing.
Let other people’s file be their own problem, and not ours. If we truly believe we can help the author improve his file, then let’s contact him and suggest solid improvements, otherwise it becomes a gossip game, and that, I believe, is good for no one.
I apologize for the honesty, but it’s just an opinion, so please don’t be offended.
