... Envato is not promoting ActiveDen or buying advertising for it the way they used to. Thoughts?

True… I think all the promotion to get Themeforest going and less for ActiveDen has been a factor. And not to mention the name change from FlashDen to ActiveDen must have hurt search results and created some confusion. Also ActiveDen is abit of an obscure name and does not seem Flash related at first unless you spend more than 1 minute on the site to look around.

in spite we don’t like its only logic in a business matter the more income you have from a market, more money you spend on advertise ,for us it’s a problem there is less new buyer blood here, also like Ds say ..the new name doesn’t indecent any syntax of flash search on Google, there is no reference to AD in front of the page’s like before on “flash den”, i found this market because i remember i Google flash and i saw “flashden” on page 1 you have to specific your target to some kind of flash component to find us .

Yup..everyone started to feel its effect now. And probably reduction in promoting activeden through advertising brought a blow. I think envato should really make a note of this. Recent days have probably been quite dull..

When Envato had to change the name FlashDen to ActiveDen, they should have increased advertising to ActiveDen for a lengthy time to counteract the negative effects of name change, not decrease promotion. Also the latest Envato mailer does not feature ActiveDen at all… you should at least have 1 article feature per Marketplace… just common sense.

+1 nicely put

edit: how can they not even mention ActiveDen in the newsletter? That’s amazing.

I don’t think the name change had any impact on low sales but I agree envato is no more interested in activden.net.
