Yeah I noticed the repetitions as well. What do you say about this one? I think this uses the space pretty well, and is kinda unique: http://activeden.net/item/as3-xml-driven-deep-linking-flash-website-template/full_screen_preview/119224

@Firsh – that looks awesome. Id love to see more of that – rather than templates which rely on images for impact.

I tried to make something different with my latest template, i think i got at least something that doesn’t looks like a template, that was the goal. The funny thing is that when released i got quite a few requests from users to make it “fullscreen” “horizontal top menu” and “banner rotator homepage”. So, i guess users are just looking for the same thing, not sure if being really innovative is a key for success. I can point to really nice and original files (the famous WickedPixel Photomator, for example) that got not enough sales to make worth the effort (sadly).

In all fairness to the authors, most every template I’ve looked at here and I’ve literally looked at hundreds most every one one can be CUSTOMIZED so text fields can be made larger via XML .

One gripe I have is a lot don’t auto-size, which I think is this day is a BIG mistake. The Flash can and should look the same regardless of browser or how much the user shrinks down the window his browser is running in.

As far as they “all look alike” comment, well, to a point, but if you keep looking you find somw that go their own direction or again can be customized by the end user.

^ Over here the logic is the more unique you go with the template the harder it will be on the sale as it strict you on the modification, unless you know your way with flash, so most here go with fix pattern give and take ,even more just go to WP template and see what is a true clone factory .

So if you really want to find something fit your own measure try the freelance world and see how you pay easily $ 3000-5000 for what you call ordinary flash template as submit on AD
