It’s kinda funny keeping an eye on the Top Authors of the Tuts+ site right now. Since it’s based off sales, and not earnings, and since the top authors on Tuts+ aren’t that huge (compared to the other Envato sites, such as Theme Forest), it’s changing pretty dramatically.

I’d definitely say that, if I stopped working for Envato, I’d put all of my energy into this site.
I’ve seen it time and time again. It only takes about one or two authors to really pave the path for a marketplace. Once they dive in hardcore building items, everyone follows. You have to prove that it can be a lucrative full-time job.

It’s only natural that the more items you have, the more sales you’ll get from this
But yes, sales have gone up more than I expected, I must admit. But lets wait and see how it is in the end of the month, since I still believe that there’ll be more sales in the beginning, compared to the end. (that of course, is also down to what sort of marketing Envato does for this).
Yours do seem to have gone up with an extremely high percentage though. I’ve gotten roughly 5 times as many sales as normal, but yours has gone up a massive 10 times!

I’m no great designer, much more of a code guy, but http://webdesign.tutsplus.com has some great stuff and techniques.
