Vimeo/Youtube vids for use in theme demo

Im developing a theme that will allow users to embed video from youtube or vimeo. I’m looking for some good quality videos that I can use to demonstrate this function in the theme demo. Any suggestions??

I expect you would have to ask a Vimeo/YouTube author before you used his/her video?? Do these sites allow videos to be used in such a commercial manner? Any advice and tips would be most appreciated.

You don’t need permission to embed a video from these sources. Video authors specifically agree to allow embedding, and it’s generally understood that when you sell a template with an embedded video, you are simply showing an example of the embed process.

Thanks Jack. I thought as much but I thought it might work differently since I will be using the video for “commercial” purposes.

Yeah we recently talked about this in another thread and it was confirmed that as long as there is a credit to the original video then you’re good. And the little “Vimeo” or “YouTube” logo that hovers over the video and links to the original source by default is sufficient for this.
