Hi everyone,

Thanks for your submissions and your questions. We’ve changed the way the FFOM selection process is handled so now is a good time to re-submit files you might’ve previously submitted. Now on to your questions!

The link to the form is rather hidden and I’ve brought this up with the necessary people to discuss. Personally, I’d prefer if it were more visible / easier to find, but that’s not my decision to make.

Before we changed the system, yes, you would’ve needed to send in your submission each month. We’ve changed the process now (and will continue to tweak it so it’s easier to use) so it won’t be necessary to re-submit your items each month.

The way the process worked before was a bit of a mess. The selection process changed teams awhile back and the handover was, admittedly, not handled appropriately so the process seemed to get even worse and needed to be updated. I’ve gone through and re-written the team instructions and updated the whole process so that authors don’t have to keep resubmitted items each month. So we’ll gradually build a list of items that can be picked from each month.

Submitted a few times, used to get an email giving a reason for not choosing the file but it looks like you don’t send that email anymore. I thought it was because you got too many submissions but this thread shows otherwise….

We’ll be going back to confirmation emails, we just need to tweak the process a bit more.

I wish the rating system will go away. there are plenty of trolls who will give you a bad rating and that means I can get free file of the month that’s ridiculous that’s like when you go on youtube post a video and I get 10 dislikes and 3 likes even though I put everything into it.
