(Locked) We need a UK meetup!

I like the idea of Bummy! It’s easy access for almost anyone in the country with train lines everywhere and its own airport. London wouldn’t be a good idea because it’s waaayy more trickier to get to, more expensive, and going to be a lot harder organizing a single meetup place.

Also it would be cool if this was done out of term time for us uni students

Would of thought you wanted a London meetup, you do computer science?

I’d love to join as well, this is an un-official meet up so maybe we should set Christine as the head of it and donate money for the rent of pub and other expenses.

I’m up for a Brum meet up. I’m based in London but I used to live pretty near, could even go visit the folks. Two birds one stone.

I think that if you want to organize an unofficial meetup, in a pub, just for a evening, there is no point on buying a ticket from Spain to GB. Think about making it bigger, with people from the staff, with interesting things to discuss. Or, as many members already mentioned, we can meet somewhere else in Europe. Barcelona is still far from me, but it would be a great cultural place to organize a meetup. Or anywhere else, Vienna for instance.

@aaranmcguire I believe the language would not be a problem, you can speak English almost anywhere in Europe.

We need a Miami, FL meeting, that’s really what we need.
