I just got my first rejection notice, it said:
Unfortunately your submission doesn’t meet our current minimum technical quality requirements for the category it was submitted to. Please consider taking some time to familiarize yourself with our current library and quality levels of popular items before resubmitting.
I’m not sure what “technical quality requirements” means. Does this mean my code quality was horrible?
regards, Ammar Idris
post a link to your theme and you will get a better response.
Hi Ammar, check your code for broken tags, don’t use tables for your structure, comment your code where necessary, make sure your theme/template works properly on all major browsers.
If you submitted a WP theme, don’t hard code any scripts or Css files, use enqueue, and you can also use the “Theme Check Plugin” to check for various issues your theme may have.
Also take a closer look at your design, and improve anything you can, and you can also post a link here for more feedback, as EireStudio suggested.
Good luck, and don’t give up!
Hope you don’t mind me crashing your thread. I got rejected yesterday with a similar statement, and found it confusing in the same way I think you did, I checked and that statement hadn’t been used on TF before, but yours is the third counting mine in the last 2 days. I’m still trying to determine whether it’s another way of saying they don’t like the design or whether there’s something technical amiss. I am a tad miffed though especially if it’s the latter because minimum technical requirements suggests there’s some list of tangible requirements somewhere in TF, as opposed to something more subjective like style, and I find it strange that such a list isn’t published if it exists, if it is I cant find it. Best of luck with sorting out your problem. Mine is here in case it helps solve your puzzle. http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/theme-rejection-feedback/62894
@EireStudio: Sorry that wasn’t very smart of me, here is a link to the theme: Stripes
@cosmincotor: Thanks, brilliant advice.
@byronyasgur: They must have to go through tons of submissions so I don’t expect to much in the way of more customized feedback, I guess that’s what this forum is for.
cosmincotor saidIt’s not a wordpress theme, here’s a link: Stripes.

Your theme is all over the place. I suggest scrapping it and starting over.
OK although beetlesales has a point… (How’s it going btw, did you calm down after your warning
)
Your theme has some good points. Remember, this is supposed to be a responsive theme.
I like some of the java script mouse-overs at the very least.
I think the underlying problem here is two fold. One, obviously is the design. You would need a complete overhaul on the aesthetics.
Two is the technical quality. This probably is exacerbated by the fact that this is NOT a WordPress theme.
For example if you’re selling this as a html template, you gotta make sure this is editable in a HTML editor such as Dreamweaver. Or the .css files are elegantly styled and same with the divs and html entities.
Well… that’s my opinion.

I’m doing well
Trying to get back on track. Thanks for asking

Thanks for the advice, I guess it’s back to the drawing board.
