What happened with WP-Select.com

so whatever happened with http://wp-select.com/ you guys made a huge push when it was launched, now its almost disappeared its not even in the list of Envato site(on the left)? I haven’t dug but Im not sure theres even been any themes added

I had never actually heard of it until someone else mentioned it recently and wasn’t even aware that it was part of Envato. Kinda sad that they abandoned it. Maybe they decided to take some of the search features and work on implementing them into a new version of the marketplaces, so it deemed the wp-select site not needed?

@Monkify has a good point.

I’m sure someone hinted a couple months back that they were working on a PD style search feature for the rest of the marketplaces, I could however have just imagined that…

I know that site was spouse to be for testing features for the marketplace(even though its actually built upon WordPress)

I’m actually disappointed(not surprised) that no staff has commented on this

Actually, I don’t know if anything has been done with it. Although I know we were interested in how certain features tested, I don’t believe it was ever our site.

Ahh…fair point

I remember adding content way back in the day, but I wasn’t involved in it more than that. Perhaps there just hasn’t been time to devote to it. With the Devs working like they are, it wouldn’t surprise me.

Maybe it could be an idea to hand the site over to a member/members of the envato community? I’m sure there are people willing to push content to it and earn a commision for some small amount of advertising maybe? Or maybe push content for free if envato remain hosting it?

Anyone?
