what happens to 'search by user' option?

Hi, I notice some time ago that this option isn’t available anymore.

I think it was a very useful feature, don’t you think? If you want just to hear whats new from a particular user and you forgot the user’s link, you don’t have an option to find him.

Any thoughts?

Right but what if you don’t know exactly the user name, of course it’s easy if the user is well none here, but If you just not remember him exactly…. That why I miss that feature

As far as I remember, user search wasn’t that great – if you didn’t know the user’s name, you still came up empty back then.

Of course, there’s Google to the rescue, as always ;) + you can follow and bookmark here.

But I know what you mean, just spent about an hour to find something that I was sure I bookmarked (and I had, but the item was removed). Forgot user name, item name… found via Google, eventually.

Open a forum thread and in the “search forums” box enter this:

dhdnujbhf

Then when you get “no results”, you’ll be presented with a drop down where you can select “users”.
