What's your latest instrument or sound library?

I don’t know about you guys/gals, but when I get a new instrument it’s a nice little thrill. When something’s cool I like to talk about it. I finally sprung for a new Bass and that got me to thinking this would be a great opportunity to get a little geeky and talk about some gear we’d like to get or the newest thing we picked up.

I got a good deal on Spectrasonics’ Trillian and Omnisphere, both incredible libraries. Already used some of the great stuff on Omnishpere to score a short a couple of weeks back.

Just bought a Deering ‘Goodtime’ 5 string banjo, plays like a dream, sounds gorgeous, has built in pickup. Yee-Ha!

as opposed to all you guys with ur hardware music equipment..lol.. i just downloaded some new free refills for reason 4. i cant wait to really dig into them to see what new sounds i have available for music.. ;oD

Hmm, I wouldn’t say I have a new instrument but I have a new sound library I created. I’ve been recording a lot of live sounds. Basically I leave a recorder out over night in my garden or I take it to work and record random crap. I’ve been using my recordings in some minimal and drum and bass tracks I’ve been working on.

Cat fight sound fx are fun to work with.

Well, as VST instruments, latest discovery I made is THIS , some very nice synths, most of them free and all of them awesome.

Yep, good find Mihai, Psychic Modulation are one of my favourite vst authors, got most of thier plugs.
