you have to turn them on alot are off by default, or are you not even seeing the screen option button?

Does that happen in all areas in the admin? Because, for example, if you’re on a plugin’s page, you might not have the screen options button.
Also, I believe WordPress hides it if you deactivate JS.

All seems fine, they’re there. Both on 3.1 and 3.1.1

Hey you know what, it was on my client installation and he had that new “JetPack” wordpress plugin …
Desactivated it .. now “Screen options” are there ..

Yeah guys, if any buyers tell you that they have no screen options tab, it’s because of this jetpack plugin! I’ve had about 7 or 8 buyers now tell me something like “I can’t follow your tutorial because there’s no screen options tab.” ... lol and not one of them has thought it could be behind the giant blue bar, but in every case that was the reason, because of this plugin. So, add this one to your list of support answers for sure
