Hello, I need some help here!
A friend of mine wrote a book and she would like to publish it on the internet and asked me for help. I don’t have much idea about that, so maybe you can help me.
How do I start? Do I have to contact with an editor or a specific company? What program do I use to convert it to “ebook” format? Where do I sell it? And maybe the most important thing, the copyright, how do I reserve the author’s rights?
Any help is appreciated!

Try with Lulu, it’s one of the easiest ways to launch a book, either printed or digital. For software I’d say Word, not sure if Word for Windows have the ability to save in .PDF but Word for OS X do so I think that Word for MS does as well. I even think that OpenOffice supports .PDF.
Good luck!
What is it about? Maybe it can go well on tuts marketplace? Whatever you do, avoid clickbank

I don’t think so.
It’s a novel she wrote so I don’t think it’is for the tuts marketplace.
What do you mean for clickbank?
@MonikaM Thanks!
@PatrikL That was what I was looking for. Thank you

Yes, OpenOffice supports (exports) .pdf quite well.
Clickbank is a place to sell digital goods but they are mostly scammy cupcakes

If it is a scammy … then I don’t think there’s any reason for which she’d like to put her book there.
