Great looking Player but I cant get it to work!

I am using Flash CS5 .5 on Mac…i downloaded all the file opened “sample actionScript.fla” in flash then published to html from flash…not altering any of your files…the player shows in the html page but just flickers…no cover.png images or audio or titles…the AS points to the “files” folder so it should find the images and audio…any suggestions?

thanks, Duane

Hi, I don’t have CS5 .5, but seems you miss some files when you publish swf file, please make sure you unzip all files(and folders)

ok, fortunately i installed a previous version of this type of player a few years ago and saw that the file “swfobject.js” was not included in the download package…i know this a standard file but you may want to include it for those that have not worked with these types of flash files before.

Hello. I really like this player and I would buy it. My question is: You can play this music hosted on another streamming music page. That is, not using music hosted on my server but the user browse for a song and player from the reprodusca streamming page?

PD.: There is. I mean it works as a Radio Online.

Hi, I’m not sure what’s “reprodusca streamming”, but basically you can set any MP3 file/streaming URL via XML to play it, but you have to make sure the MP3 file/streaming site allow you to load it from external site, because flash player security policy was allow you to reject some other people load any resource(e.g. image, video, sound…) file from your site

ufoufoufo, please forgive me. Not much English and mistakenly gave her and reporting REPORT click on your response as inappropriate. Again. It was a regrettable error. I have no complaint about your answer. I hope this will serve to explain to webmasters. In my reply I said … Thank you for your answer. In particular I am interested to know if I can hook the player with any of the online radio of this page http://www.shoutcast.com Thanks again.

Hi, I’m not sure how shoutcast radio works, but if you can check this, http://3.s3.envato.com/files/1375822/config.xml, this is the config file that to setup my player, as you can see, you can set a MP3 file URL via XML , so you can use this player, if your radio broadcast server support a streaming MP3 file URL

Hello again and thanks for your answers. Actually I am very interested in acquiring the player. But I know much of the code you sent me. Below you visualize simply copied it to see if I can help. My intention is, for example, allows player to listen to some of ShoutCast stations. The one finally chosen for the web. I have no station. My idea is to connect the player to any existing ones. For example. If I play a radio through iTunes should open with iTunes the URL of that radio, which is: http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=199616 I copied the code you sent me as I see it to see if I can help. Really thanks!

I’m tyring to get the player to work. If I open your “sample xml.fla” file using Adobe Flash Pro CS5 .5 and do nothing with it at all, I get a compilation error:

Symbol=Mp3Player, layer=as, frame=1, Line 2 The class or interface ‘Mp3Player’ could not be loaded.

How can I fix that?

I love this player!

But I am having a Dickens of a time embedding a font (Cooper Light) so that the playlist has the appearance that I desire.

I am using Mac, Flash CS3 , and this file is AS2 .

Although I have done this before in earlier versions of Flash, something has evidently changed.

As you are most familiar with your own Flash file I thought I would ask you (or fellow users) as all the options I have found on the web are unclear, confusing and/or complicated.

Thanks to anyone out there for assistance in this matter.

Hi,
You can find the playlistItem in library
and you can try to change the text fields setting to change font or color… in that symbol

OK, so I got the player to work, and it looks great. I do have a problem, however:

I’ve had to put the player swf in an ASP .NET master page. That means that every time you switch between pages on the website, the flash reloads and the playback starts over from the beginning of the playlist.

Does anybody have an idea on how to avoid this?

I just purchased this mp3 player to just embed into a website I’m creating. I think, the only thing I would need is a *.swf file. I don’t want to mess around with with flash things – just embed the player and pass an XML configuration file. Can you help me? Thanks

Just wondering … for the xml, does it have to be an actual physical xml file or can it be a link to a page that spits out valid xml? Our list changes daily from a database and it would be a hassle to have to make the change manually in the player everyday …

Hi, actually you can output the XML format content via your server-side script, e.g. ASP , PHP… and load it to my player like this, myMp3player.loadConfig(“http://yoursite.com/playlist.php”)
