2009 XML Panel News Ticker

I am a big fan of this item, but am having issues with resizing. I need mine to display 7-8 items in the list at a size of 300×700. When I adjust the settings it cuts off the height at about square or 400 pixels. I have tried multiple settings and it does this no matter how you adjust it.

Also, is there a trick to having the news self prune? I do not want to show expired items from a custom xml file and do not really want to delete them manually

Thanks for the response. On the size, that is exactly what I did, but for some reason it is cutting off. I will send you the link to see what I mean and the code I entered.

I also noticed that this widget does not sort news by date, but by entry. This is an issue too as I am compiling multiple feeds into one XML . Can that be tweaked with the pruning? I will email you

This is a fantastic widget and very customizable.

I have made it so it shows 12 news items in a tall configuration but the problem is its showing the same news entry twice. Do you have any ideas what the problem is and how to fix this?

We have purchased the flash file and we were wondering if it is possible or if there is an easy fix to allow us to get the scroller to scroll through the news without pausing and achieve a smooth scroll at all times?

I am, however, finding it very difficult to change the color of the large buttons and over states in panel one (currently the normal color is charcoal and over state is lime green) – Since this is the main theme colors of the module, these colors are rather important! Could you please tell me how to change these colors? Thanx

One last question - I would like to either not use the large dates on the buttons in panel one Or better yet….be able to use text in that area instead of the date format…

This item doesn’t support chinese characters.

which lines of code should i disable to make it work ?

I embed the chinese characters in the textfields of fla, and re-compile it. It makes the swf file as large as 6MB. As it’s only 50KB before.
