First of all thank you for this very nice ticker… I live & work in Iran, and i bought this ticker. i have a problem… When I set the width and height and background color in XML nothing happens in preview file! Also when I type in Unicode in XML nothing is shown for example u can use this text to test my problem: ??? ?? ?????? ???

1. we think you also need to set the swf width and height in html
2. for you special characters, you need to embed them in fla file and re-compile it.

I can’t get this ticker to resize. I resized the document in Flash, published it, reset the size in the ‘settings.xml’ document, and reset the size in my HTML , and all I see is a black box in the dimensions that I set. I believe it is cutting off the ticker bc of the shortened height, and that’s why I only see black.
Can you please tell me how best to resize this?

You don’t need to resize from html. The only changes you have to do is from settings.xml. bgWidth=”590” (width of the ticker), bgHeight=”100” (height of the ticker), bgAlpha=”1” ticker’s alpha (transparency), bgTopColor=”0×000000”, bgBottomColor=”0×000000” if different it would create gradient, topMargin=”110”, padding=”10”, spacing=”15”, imageWidth=”64”, imageHeight=”64”. You mention in one of your reply/comments above that it can be customized to auto scroll. I guess that means YOU can customize it within the flash, but it can’t be customized by the purchaser?

Can some basic instruction on how to install / embed this be provided?
Ive uploaded the files to my server, and used a number of variations on embed code in html to view it, but I just get a black box…
