Hehe I see!

The trick is certainly in the double jumping – I found it easiest to use W and D to move left and right, then I can fire with mouse. I alsodouble jump everywhere.

Of course it’s all easy to change in the source – levels are stored in a really easy to edit script and you can adjust jump height, turn double jumping on or off through a checkbox etc.

I could do with putting an instructions page in… I’ll do that for an update soon :) Enjoy!

Nice Starter Kit , BUT WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY isn’t ok for IOS ??

If you make an IOS version will bought directly often is the price is 10x higher ;-)

Until Unity can batch render meshes dynamically (right now it will only batch meshes that are present when the scene is first loaded) then this way of doing it just won’t be fast enough for iOS.

It’s an annoying little thing that stops batch rendering in dynamic levels like this … unless anyone has a solution, I would need to find another way of rendering everything to do an iOS version :(

Hi,

I love this. How easy is it to set the tiles so you can have different tiles in different areas of the play area? I’d want brown ‘earth’ blocks and then ‘green’ grass on the top. ie a bit like sonic say.Does that make sense? Really I would want lots of different tiles rather than a single square block that I repeat to make the level.

Great work though – and the demo game is very playable!

Hi!

The levels are just prefabs that get spawned by the level controller, so you could make a ground prefab that was 10 screens wide and 10 screens high and have its pivot point at the start point on the map.

Essentially, since it’s prefab spawning and not custom-mesh building – you can probably do just about anything with the level objects :)
