Ok, let’s again. I just bought this template and I would like to put a link in one box (for example in “can play sef files”) I will put ” Contact” so when I click on, Live mail would load. Where I change this ?

Hey K, Thanks for the awesome template – well documented and great design. I have the same question to bonadrag a couple months back and would love some help with this. I have copied the text from the previous post as my question is the same:

There is one issue I’ve been unable to resolve. I cant for the life of me get a Mouse CLICK event to happen in a swf once it has been introduced into Papervision. All the MouseEvents work as normal inside the swf that is played in isolation out of the assets/contents folder but stop functioning when inside Papervision Is there an ideal way to introduce MouseEvents into the timeline of a swf to guarantee that they will work when introduced to Papervision.? Would really appreciate your help with this. If you had any sample script to enable this I would be much obliged.

Thanks, You understood. I used “mailto:blabla@blabla.com” instead of the activeden link in the content.xml., but before open email application, open the bowser window . Is there some place to change this, in other words, when click , open just email applicaion. (Maybe .fla flile) Thanks a lot.

Ok. So someone told me to use Dreamweaver to open the .xml, so when I did that I followed some of the help files you gave and was able to change things, but not 100% I am watching lynda.com videos and was trying to add a link to an external website in some text and I saw they highlighted the text and went into the properties panel. I tried that and noticed that there is nothing in the properties panel. I also can not do the split screen with both code and picture like they do. Am I not supposed be using dreamweaver? I tried every way I knew of to open your files in flash. The only one that opened was the .fla and .swv All of the .xml would not. I tried copying and pasting from text edit into the actions panel, but that didnt do anything. Anything to get me started? I looked in the help files, but besides what I said above I cant change anything else (but pictures) I would like to change for example thumb/06.jpg and put “Links” and then when the person clicks on it the box comes up (like normal) and on that are three bullets, each a different link. Is there any way to do that? Thank you for taking your time to read my email and help out. I appreciate it.

I just have one issue I hope you can help me out with. On one of my pages i have an flv loading, but when the section loads the volume is set at default 0, is there a way to set the starting volume?

I have 2 questions I just can’t figure out:

- When loading a SWF file, how can I have a working button inside the swf ? I’ve tried to put buttons, rollOver movieclips in the swf file, but nothing works. the swf appears and plays correctly but no buttons are active.

- Is it possible to open a centered popup ? (instead of a simple URL link) I tried a javascript popup function within the ‘link’ asset type in the xml file, but it didn’t work.

If you can give me answers to these questions, it would save my day ! Thank you

I sent a PM a couple days ago, I just need a little help adjusting a few things. Can I hire you for a few little adjustments?

Here is what I need:

1. Set specific x,y coordinates of the 3d wall (so it’s not auto-centering)

2. Show the hand cursor when navigating the wall

3. When you click on a tile and the large image pops up, I need the ability to click the top right of the object to close it (people are having a hard time figuring out that they need to click outside the wall)

4. The ability to have certain tiles “inactive” so they don’t roll at all.

Is there a way to get the links to open with a _self target rather than _blank as it seems right now. I found an _blank in thumbs.as but changing it didn’t help.

Hello, thanks for your great work. First of all, we are new with AS3 and we are doing now first steps coming from AS2 , so we are kind confused

1) We need to load your clip in our container, so we will have 2 menus over that. How can we comand your clip from our menu? We need to open a content clicking on our men or open just an other cube.

2) How can we have a X (close) on the backround, out of the content box.

3) How can we simply load different XML to have different stage situation?

4) We tried to remove CDATA to have no flip, but it seems doesn’t work for Video content. is it right? Solutions?

How can I recreate a downloader?

I’ve used your template for my website phimage.com.au I’ve received so many good comments about it thanks to you.

However, it takes a long time to download. (30sec – 2min) Some people just close the page before they see it.

Is there a way to make it download faster? if not, how can I put a downloader when it loads? I’m thinking just purchase a downloader in activeden…but don’t know how to incorporate it to my webpage.

How difficult would it be to make videos play fullscreen instead of on the 3d plane?

I still want to use the zoom effect to transition between the sections/videos but when the user clicks a box i want it to zoom upto a full screen video with no title or anything, any help would be awesome!

To change the cursor while rolling over the thumbs, add the following line: space.viewport.buttonMode = true;

to introAnimation() and showThumbs() functions in Thumbs.as file.
