RJ – your 3D sphere is a great file too – just built with a different technology (displacement map filters versus Papervision3D).
I’m still a little jealous of the higher quality of yours
But for me when it comes to AS3 and papervision3D…

Is it possible to change the whole texture and not just the logo?. I would like to make an image that would wrap around the whole ball.
Also when I interact with this demo I appear to have some difficulty getting the ball to rotate where I want it. If I click the ball at the top and drag to move down it seems to want to move up and vice versa.
Could the ball be made to be more accurate for movement as I would like to allow visitors to move the ball around in 3d to see the full image.

24sevenmedia – Thanks for your interest in my balls. It IS possible to change the entire texture, but the textures are NOT externally loaded files. They are built directly into the Flash files, so this revision needs to be done within the Flash program.
I understand what you are talking about with the ball rotation. When the positive half of the sphere is facing you, it moves correctly. Unfortunately, when the sphere is turned around 180 degrees, its axes are flipped and dragging up causes it to rotate down. I think this could be improved on with a few “if” statements.
If you decide you want some help with any of these revisions, I am available for freelance work.
