Is it possible to place the carousel to a specific place on the stage?

Useful flash file – carousel works great.

One question though – you say you can adjust the carousels speed of rotation in the code – whereabouts is this ?

I would have thought flashden author’s would offer a better response speed of options supposedly included as standard.

You have stated that the speed can be adjusted. It has been 10 days and no response.

peakflowdesign If you took the time to open the FLA you would see the settings to change the rotation speed in the Actions inside movieclip symbol “menu_mc”, see the code below. The higher the number the slow the rotation speed.

// Set max rotation speed here
maxSpeed = 100

manos To off centre the menu just move the X and Y position of “menu_mc” which is currently at zero X and Y.

First, this is a great file. Its very easy to edit and use. Thanks for being so thorough. There is one thing I can’t seem to get though. Im currently trying to load this file as a thumbnail page for a site (thumbs.swf) into an index.swf. The load works fine but the carrousel wont reposition to the center anymore. It centers to the thumbs.swf but not the index.swf.

Any thoughts on how to fix to this?

Hi- Great file.

Is it possible to space out the items on the circle based on their width? I am loading .pngs that have different widths and they are running into each other. Can you at least point me in the right direction? Thanks

ANYONE : I have just purchased this Menu and it’s brilliant.

I have easily changed the jpegs, links etc. in the XML

I now only need to remove “3D XML Menu Studio 2 by Digital Science” logo at the top and the various parameter settings at the bottom to be able to use it in a production site. I think in Preview.swf

I DO NOT have any version of Flash at all, will I need it to achieve this? If I don’t how do i do it (Can’t see any of the comments as I can’t open the FLA file)? As this menu will be used in production websites couldn’t you maybe issue the preview.swf without any branding etc. or two versions

Does anyone know how to make the carousel rotate without having to mouse over the swf file? Everything works great, except that it won’t rotate until I mouse over the animation.

I am also having a hard time getting this to work in all browsers. Any suggestions would be great.

Thank you so much for replying. You can disregard both of my posts. I was able to figure it out after a couple of hours! I just wanted it to spin without having to mouse-over the swf file. All I had to do was change the mouse location in the FLASH file to 0 and it worked. Thank you again. I love the look of this product.

Hi there. Is it possible to change the perspective of the smaller images in the back?

Essentially I’d like 6 images to be smaller in the back with the one main large image in the centre of them. So the back images are on the radius of a wide oval.

hi, i am using png images, the pre-loader doesnt seem to disappear even when all the images have loaded 100%. The preloader is visible behind each image. How can i have the pre-loaders not show up when all the images have loaded?

Hi, I have just purchased and uploaded this file. Great and just what I wanted, but I am a complete novice to this type and on opening the flash file I could not find any text to edit. Not sure if everything has downloaded?

I wish to hide (or fix) the controls and maybe add a title.

Looked in swf.object.js file (drawn blank)
