Here’s a set of easy to integrate and modify 3d rotating effect cube buttons, programmed to jump from section to section with a simple fade out and in.
The button and section titles are contained in variables, so all you have to do is change it and you’re done, then drag and drop as many buttons as you need and just assign their instance names b1, b2, b3. You DON’T have to look inside them…
In the sections movie clip, you can easily display your content for each section in a single frame, all you have to do is drop your content in and add a frame label
For illustration purposes, this file is programmed so you can also edit the buttons and section names at the same time, on the fly at runtime. you can just remove the dynamic text fields clip if you dont want to users to change the titles
Included is a grid construction script which in this case is used to create a nice masking effect over the background picture, which you can modify by entering the rows and columns and then choosing between an ordered or random masking transition. If you wish to use the effect you can easily hide the option of entering the rows and columns, and just set what you want. It is designed to function automatically over any image at any stage size without modification (except for altering 1 line of code which in this case takes into account the menu at the base)
You also get a self contained volume slider and preloader, with code written inside them, so you can simply drag and drop either or both into another fla, and the music loop is yours to use in any other flash file aswell, as usual.
Last interesting point, you get a useful reusable rewind movie clip you can drop into other clips files. When called, it rewinds the timeline of whatever clip it’s in. The buttons here work using this system.
The published size is 92k without the audio
All code is commented and thoroughly explained, but feel free to shoot me a message for any questions. adrien [at] adg3.com
