This 2nd version of the flip transition demonstrates how to create another cool looking masked flip effect, which can both be applied to images or section content in your projects, by resizing and/or changing the shapes in the mask clip.
Unlike the first version, you have to click to play the transition here, it doesn’t play through by itself
More importantly, this version is completely scripted onto the stage, images and titles are separate. All actionscript, it is much easier to add pictures, only changing one variable, adding a linkage identifier, and dropping the new pictures into frame 2.
Every line of code is explicitly commented at length, in easy to understand language. As such it is a functional actionscript tutorial aswell.
You can always apply the effect to another fla file by dragging the movie called “The transition” from the library into your file on a mask layer.
NOTE : Again, this is not a dynamic image gallery, it is a library linked preloaded image viewer with a masked transition movie clip, which could be applied to dynamically loaded images, if required, . This file shows how the images are linked and loaded, and the mask works and how it is applied through code.
BONUSES : You also get another loop of mine included here free, to use in any of your flash projects, and updated volume slider and preloader clips, both of which can be dragged and dropped in any other AS2 fla anywhere, the code for those 2 clips is written inside, so they are really drag and drop.
