Advanced XML Media Gallery

hi there, I just bought your file and there seems to be a small “bug” or incoherrant programming; the forward/backward arrows in the galleries should disapear when the user actually has reached the final image or movie and there isnt actually another to go to. Otherwise it might feel like an error to the user trying to use the arrow that doesnt go anywhere.

I was wondering if you could give me the code to fix this? Thank you, sandra

I hired your company to create a custom XML -driven Media Gallery for a project of mine. Greg was the developer. The component is working fine except for two bugs.

1) No less than 27 media records can be loaded, if so the UI will not display any records at all.

2) When you click any of the pdf icons they all open the same pdf document. I have probably 15 different pdf documents loaded in the ‘assets’ folder and an xml record for each in the data.xml file, but the flash file is reading only the last pdf record in the xml file. I’ve emailed Greg about the two bugs mentioned above, but can get no response from him. Can someone please either fix the above-mentioned bugs or tell me the code to fix it in the .fla file?

I purchased this gallery earlier tonight. It is ideal for my application except that I will be needing more than one XML file. How can I use a parameter to select a specific XML file to load specific content?

Also, is there anyway to make the layout a little smaller to fit cleanly in a smaller window?

Bought the advanced XML website and Advanced XML Gallery. Trying to integrate the gallery into the site and all works except loader at bottom of site does not end on load. Please advise how to modify the xml gallery fla to work properly with the Advanced xml Gallery.

Hello, I love the gallery and I and I am trying to use it and a little different way, just with videos. I was wondering if I can make the gallery player go to the next video automatically I am sure there is a code I have to put somewhere but I don’t know where, can you please help? I just purchased this.

The problem I have is that everything run smooth locally (Windows 7), but when I upload the videos, the thumbs, etc to the server, everything is displayed BUT the videos.

This is weird. Please let me know how to send you a link so you can see it by yourself. Everything works, but the videos.

For my previous comment, so everybody knows… if videos doesnt work check your IIS settings on the production server on the mime settings and be sure to have the adobe .flv extension.

For adding .flv MIME type in IIS in order to display videos:

1) Select the site to configure in IIS , right click and select “Properties” 2) Under HTTP Headers Tab, select “File Types” under the MIME Map section and select “New Type” 3) Type ”.flv” as the associated extension and “video/x-flv” as the content type. 4) Select “OK” and you’re ready to fly!

Hi I’ve bought your item. Everything works good – but it’s coded in AC2 and I need to load AC3 coded swf’s into it. Is there a chance to have the gallery in AC3 coding.

DS, Just purchased this file and so far so good. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction as I cannot seem to find what I am looking for.

How can I increase the size of the thumbnails that appear on the menu? I would like the thumbnails to be 100×100 instead of 50×50. If I were to do this, will the menu automatically resize to accommodate the larger thumbs? If not, I guess I would also need to know if there is an easy fix for this as well.

I’m building a flash site, have integrated the Advanced Media Gallery into it quite successfully, but i’m having an issue when it’s deployed to the server.

the site loads external SWFs for each page with a single click, and works fine, but when attempting to load the (modified) Advanced Media Gallery swf it requires the user to click twice on the button before it loads the swf.

the button to link to Advanced Media Gallery is “videos” on the bottom nav bar. It seems the issue was only happening in Safari, but now it’s also happening in Firefox…

the site isn’t finished, but i need to resolve the issue urgently so i can progress and complete the site ASAP .

please let me know if you have any advice – I’ve looked through google at all the java fixes, but they don’t seem relevant as only one of my buttons is playing up (and it seems it’s not the button – on (press) etc.)

DS, Just purchased this file and I like how well it is put together and how well the code is commented.

After reviewing all the actionscript, the FAQ and the comments here. I have been unable to determine how to load a video by clicking on the “thumb” without playing the video automatically, is this possible?

Is this an option I have missed or does this require customization?

Can someone anyone please tell me how do I enable/edit this so that it loads by default in fullscreen and if the user wants to go back to normal size they can click the default button
