Does this set a cookie to the users browser so he doesnt have to always enter it once its done once.

for example, on a video tube site, it would be nice first time a new user tries to view a video it asks for age verifcation and other videos wont cause the cookie is set.. ?

gateway Hi thanks for the idea, ive just added 2 cookie versions to the download zip which will remember your birthdate if previously verified. When the user returns it goes straight to the enter site frame. This could also be set to geturl or go straight to a frame that a video is on etc

Variable age is not working on my file if i change age to 18 work but dont have a exact calculation of the age please helpme wats wrong with my file i need the age verification on a site and i have to purchace another cause i need to use this today anyway i wait for ur help

There’s a bug, if you type randomly and force the widget to reset. The day field will only allow for 1 numeric. Initially it allows 2 digits for the day. But you can easily cause the bug to only allow 1 digit for the day. Fix and I may buy it.

Hi, this is just what i need, Thank you! all understood except one thing. If the FLA is looking at the text file, does that action script go in the data.txt? where do i put the gotoAndStop(); ? I also want to send the ENTER button to a # on the CS4 timeline…sorry I’m new to action script

is it possible to have this “lock” the user from entering the site based upon a cookie value if they enter an invalid age???

Otherwise, they can just reset the movie and try again until they get a valid age to enter … I would like to limint the number of attempts to some number like 1 or 2 (could set this via XML ) ..

This would help prevent young kids from entering an inappropriate content site …
