And yes, I have read the documentation which sounds very straight forward…therefore, I apologize for not knowing the pre-requisites of the task at hand. That’s why my questions appear to be so elementary:-)

Do I just change the text in XML , change the images in the images folder, then, FTP all the files to my website? Or is it necessary to do things to the cb.fla, the .html files?

I downloaded this banner sometime ago. Since then I have watched tutorials at adobe on FLASH & DREAMWEAVER to get a better understanding of flash and html…but I am still wet-behind-the-ears.

Could you give me even more basic task directions. Thank you.

Hi,

thanks for your comment.

There is no need to edit the fla source files. You can just add your images to the folder and configurate the banner in the xml file. Also works offline.

I can’t seem to figure out our problem. Here is my test page (http://assaultech.com/banner-test ) I am hosting the files on my domain at boostedvq.com/banner. It was working fine for a minute and then once I went in to edit the color and text in the XML file, it stopped working. Had already originally edited the XML file to change the size and that was all working fine, just changed text on first slide as well as background color on one text line. Please let me and tell me if you can see the problem. Great looking product otherwise :)

Hi,

Im sure that you broke the xml structure with your modification. Make sure all tags are instact, the color has the appropriate format… Also when changing the size in the xml you must change the size in the embed page as well.

Can you please tell me how I need to change my embed HTML to make this work from a different server. Banner will be shown on Assaultech.com and stored on BoostedVQ.com … due to the way our main site (Assaultech) is setup, we cannot host it on the same server. Took all my code back to stock, and only edited the size and didn’t change any locations like I did before.

Even if you can just mark with Xs where I need to input my full web address. I am a noob when it comes to XML and CSS .

Please disregard this, I think I figured it out on my own. I think I must have messed up some small thing in the XML file that was causing issue. Who knows, its working now though.

Having a problem with what I believe it the z-index on this?? Its on this page and all our dropdown menus fall behind it. How do I get it to lay behind those dropdown menus.

how can i change the size of the banner to 900×631 and still keeping the padding and the same look, i change the values in xml, but it doesn’t work, Please send step by step instructions. thanks
