Asteroid Ace is designed around a simple concept… survive waves of oncoming asteroids, meteors, and other space debris simply by moving your mouse. There are no other game controls to learn.
Asteroids (and other obstacles) are randomly generated… so every game experience is unique!
This game actually allows you to customize your OWN game levels! You can control the number of game levels, the duration of each level, the difficulty of each level, and the type of obstacles. Everything is controlled with an XML file. Simply open the XML in your preferred text editor and change settings as desired. (The game comes with 15 pre-designed levels if you don’t want to bother with this feature.) Following are some of the settings that can be customized by modifying the XML :
- Sound effects on or off
- Optional game music (not included) on or off
- Optional ad banner (or company logo) with URL link
- Unlimited number of customizable game levels with control over: level name, level description, level duration, obstacle type (4 possibilities + “mixed”), number of obstacles, and obstacle speed
NOTE : The music in the preview is an MP3 track called “New Century” composed by Ionics. While all game sound effects are included with the game, the music is NOT . Unfortunately, this track is no longer offered for sale on AudioJungle. However, it is available for purchase on iStockPhoto.
Setting music up to work with the game is simple and accomplished by modifying a setting in the XML file. (Music is not required for the game to function, but it really adds a lot to the gameplay experience.)
