I’m not able to change artist or album from the drop down.

Hi subhendu, did you try the deploy folder without changing it? Did you have the same problem?
In your image I see you have 80 artists. This may be the cause of your problems (as a list of 80 artists may be higher than the application height). Did you try using less artists to see if it works or not?

Hi subhendu, unfortunately the flex component used for the list does not support scrollbars (sigh). However, please contact me through my profile, so I can send you a fullscreen version (maybe this will help) or I’ll try to sort your issue in some other way.

there’s an optional link tag in the xml. If this tag exists, the song thumbnail will link to the selected url (in your case the song).

Hi rush2004, if it is a well formed xml file there should be no problem, but if you want, we can test it out. Just contact through my contact panel and I will send you an xml example.

Hi pixelrow, I’m not familiar with wordpress, but I guess you just have to add the html wrapper for the application in a wordpress page and then include the swf file and xml files in the correct path.

Hi pixelrow, open the html file included in the purchased package: this includes all the html code and .js script linking you need to add to your wordpress page.

Hey Marco,
I know this is probably is an easy fix, but I can’t seem to get the player up and running. I added the swf file from the deploy folder into a div in my web page: www.princessbluepublishing.com/music.html
It loads and only shows the background, why is that? It runs smoothly when I test on desktop in flash player, and I have all the same files and same architecture on server… I’m stuck!
@bclayton21: my activity panel shows that the application can’t find the xml data which it trying to load on this location:

Maybe you have named it in a different way or you have uploaded it in a different place.

Hey Marco, Thanks for helping me resolve the last issue. There seems to be another. It seems that the player won’t play hundreds of songs, is there a limit? I have redone the xml list several times to ensure there are no mistakes, it plays the original file but not the newer with three times as many songs. The xml file went from 111kb to 256kb. Any help as soon as you can would be appreciated!

Hi Brandon, yes, this may be a problem of the Flash Player or the Flex parser that can’t cope with a list this long.

You can try, but I’m not really sure it will work, as most flex4 components are not using halo anymore (instead they are now spark components). For instance the VBox/HBox are no longer available (yuo must use the Group instead)
