@cvaradero
I don’t know iweb 09….but if it is possible there to add dynamic swf files he will be acting.
Hi there, where can i get a guide for changing the pictures etc in the banner?
I am a newbie that is trying to learn on his own.
cheers ch
@cvaradero
You are changing photographs in the file “xml/banner.xml”
Thanks flashmaniac, any guide you have for customize ? I wouldn’t be asking here every time i don’t know how to do things if i had a guide.

if you already solved the problem? it is easy to edit that does not need help
Hi,
I’m using the banner on my website (DelvesWoodBears.co.uk). In Safari & Opera, when the banner loads on the home page a red square appears top left. If I click on one of the stores categories the banner loads fine. Then when I return to the home page the banner then displays OK.
Any idea what’s going on?
It works fine in Firefox and Internet Explorer.
BTW . I love how simple this banner is. I don’t need the ability to pause, move back and forwards between images etc. Why pay more for a different banner when this does all I need?
Thanks, Phil
Hi dwwd
I recommend to use relative paths (example xml / banner.xml)
I do not recommend to use absolute paths (example – DelvesWoodBears.co.uk / xml / banner.xml)
The absolute path address “DelvesWoodBears.co.uk” and “www.DelvesWoodBears.co.uk” are two different addresses (anti – more at adobe.com, crossdomain.xml)
Thanks flashmaniac!
I was using relative paths, but I was only having the problem at www.delveswoodbears.co.uk not delveswoodbears.co.uk, which is why it was working as described above (link back to home page going to different address).
So have created a crossdomain.xml file allowing access for both…et voila…works nicely.
Thanks once again, Phil
my congratulations…
Any idea why £ and/or £ don’t work, but € and € do, when included in the title (of item in banner.xml)?
Apologies, that should be & #163; and & pound; and & #8364; & euro; (without the spaces obviously)
Hey envato, ability to preview a comment before submission would be nice
Is it possible to split the title over multiple lines?
Thanks, Phil
@dwwd
You need to embed these characters in the FLA file.
banner.fla , library (CTR+L) ,VIEV Classes / DescriptionView / mcDesc and click the TextField and click the embed button.
There can be only one line but I can customize it to your needs. Send me an e-mail.
@flashmaniac
Thanks for details of embedding special characters.
Think I’ll leave the multi-line for now. I’ll be in touch if I need it in future.
@dwwd
Ok send me an e-mail if you will need multi-line text
dont know how to get it on my webpage someone help me please
Very nice work.
