Banner Rotator with Smooth Transition

I am having the same problem with the loading. My swf files are already loading before the banner has fully loaded.

MAn, can’t get the special characters to work. Can you help me out?

I can not get £ sign to display through the xml, example:

from 32 displays without the £ sign – How do i fix this ?

Just purchased, it works fantastically. How can I eliminate text entirely? When I delete the and/or areas the whole player freaks out. Do I need to edit the .fla file? I am by no means a Flash pro. Please advise.

I just purchased this today, and have had some problems that i see others have had also, which am assuming havent been resolved.

If you use this to rotate swf’s, you realize that the swf is already loaded and played once the rotation comes to that specific swf. Meaning if you have a swf on banner 3 that has an animation that you want to play when the rotator comes to banner 3, by the time you get to 3 it would have already played.. meaning that the swf is always in the background already loaded and played… this is a major problem, and you shouldnt pose this as a file that rotates SWF ’s if the SWF ’s cannot even function in this basic manner.

Also, if you decide to put any buttons inside of these swf’s… the button hit states will always be hittable even if your specific Banner hasnt loaded, you will still be able to rollover where the button will be once your banner is loaded, this is another major problem thats the cause of all the swf’s being loaded on top of eachother already in the background.

I purchased this item and it does not work in IE8 .

It works fine in Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE7 . But it does not work in IE8 . Here is a link for you to review.

I’ve used this on several sites and I need a fix ASAP because in IE8 my sites with this product are not working. PLEASE HELP !!!

Seems to be working in IE8 now? Strange. Not sure what happened.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and its lovely….but users with Firefox and Flash 10.1 cant use it. For some reason they see just a black screen on my page. Is there any way that I can cure this problem? Thanks David

HELP ! When It plays a swf file, it won’t play it again when they number is clicked. HOW CAN I STOP THIS !! I need the swf file to replay each time it goes to that slide!

Does anyone know if the hyperlink issue with the first image on second rotation has been resolved? Please see items posted again below regarding this issue. It seems that there is one regarding image and links, and yudtie seems to have similar issue but with swf playback.

Hi. I am having trouble with the banner linking correctly after the first rotation. Tried one banner with 5 images and one with 8 images – both having similar results. In first rotation, all images link correctly. On second rotation, the first image actually links to the same place that the last image in first rotation did – rather than linking to the intended location. The rest of the images in second rotation link correctly. Same pattern for third rotation. First image links to same place as the last image of the second rotation instead of going to link specified in xml. Any thoughts on what might be causing the issue? Thanks,

Hey Devita,

thanks so much for updating the file however I’m still having an issue. the first flash banner plays then the 2nd and so on but when it comes back around the first banner doesn’t play from the beginning but the 2nd banner and so on does. it just seems there is still an issue just with the first banner playing. now if I put a banner in the first place in the xml but change the timer to 0 then i can get the cycle of banners to play but then the numbered buttons will show an extra button that isn’t needed?\?! do you think you can help solve this issue?

Great File! One thing though, Im have similar problems as @newtoden is having. The banner links plays correctly on the first rotation. When the second rotation loops, the first link plays the incorrect url link. Its playing the last url link. Not sure if anyone else is noticing that issue.

Any help would be awesome.

For anyone having problems with the first link not working after the second rotation. Here is the answer.

line 367: n = 1;

Change to

line 367: n = 0;

That should fix the problem.

Does this automatically resize images to fit inside the viewer? I cannot seem to get that working.

I’m having issues with the text links in the text box linking to the last text link of the last frame. all except the 3rd one are going to the last link. what do you think could be causing this issue??

Hi! When I load all swfs in my rotator it plays them initially but when it is time to play them a second time it does not start them from the beginning. is this possible to do?
