Hi,

I’ve been using this for ages and it’s been great but now some of the versions of IE have a security issue with it, do you know how to fix this? It’s really annoying and I have to disable it so my website works. www.tjvisualdesign.com to check it out.

Thank you

Hi, I purchased this file a while ago and trying to run a slideshow with png images while each of the pbg image has a transparent background. When running the slideshow all png images have a white background instead of being transparent. Does it support transparent png images and how can I set this up?

Thanks!

I would like to modify some settings in the external KIZoomSlideshow.as file and then save it under a new name. However, being a bit of a Flash newbie, I have failed to find where you make the reference to KIZoomSlideshow.as in the fla file. I was expecting to find an #include statement somewhere. Please advise.

Note that I am using Flash CS4 .

Ref my question above

With the help of someone on the Adobe Flash forum, I have discovered the location of the reference within KIZoomSlideshow.fla to the external AS2 file that contains most of the application code (KIZoomSlideshow.as). It is very well hidden!

This external file is normally located in the net\lucidstudios folder.

If you want to change the name and/or location of this file then you will need to open the fla file in Flash, right click on KIZoomSlideshow in the Library panel and select Properties. The Symbol Properties dialogue box will then open up and you will then be able to see net.lucidstudios.KIZoomSlideshow listed in the Class textbox within the Linkage section.

Finding this reference was not easy as there appears to be no way of searching for the class name within Flash.

Unfortunately, my desire to save modified versions of the KIZoomSlideshow.as file under new names has not been satisified by simply following the procedure described in the previous post. Other code alterations are also required as a result of the name change.

Despite my best attempts, I have not yet found all the other modifications that will permit the use of a renamed external AS2 file.

If anyone at LucidStudios is reading this perhaps they would like to offer some guidance . . .

Can you determine if the slides are clicked, if the URL goes “_blank” or “_self” ?

Hi Lucid, I remember giving some suggestions a few years back, I’m glad we think very much alike.

Almost all of the new features you have added to this Ad Rotator are somthing I had implamented for myself in the past in a custom version.

Some of the newer features you added are great, I had added those myself a year or 2 ago such as:

Random Play, Show / Hide Nav <—Thanks for using these suggestions, Show / Hide Text <—Thanks for using these suggestions, Text Position, XML File Path, Alpha Setting for the Text BG Box, Color Setting for the Text BG Box

Like I said, glad to see we think alike…

Here is one more suggestion I think you will like and that many of your clients may enjoy.

In one of my latest custom codess for this Ad Rotator I added a LoadFontFile feature. This basicly lets you designate a font .swf file (IE: times.swf) in the XML that it loads into the library and then uses that as the display font when you type out HTML text.

So you can display the text in Arial, Times, Script etc.. any font you can export really. If the font file is not found or not designated then the Ad Rotator uses it’s Default internal font “Arial” for display.

Keep up the good work Lucid!

I also forgot to include a few more enhancements in my last post. I added fade control for the images during FADE -IN, SCALE -UP and SCALE -DOWN.

I edited the easing times with a custom variable in the XML file. It allows the control of how slow or fast the transitions happen between images.

I also set up the textBox so that it spans the width of the movie and added a variable “textalign” to the XML tags that lets me designate “right” and “center”, “left” is default.

This is used in case you have a short name or word as a title and you want it to align on the right or center of the Text-bacground area since HTML text will not allow you to do alignments like that in flash when the textbox autoSize is set to “true”.

Hi! I just bought this, and it is working great. But is it possible to have a picture moving from left to right or bottom to top without scaling the image? If it is not possible in the ready-made version, I´m willing to pay for custom work :)

Hello again! Another question – is it possible to set the speed on the Ken Burns effect (how fast the zoom goes?)
