Thanks, Nadger!

Try this…in the “BreakingGlassV1_(AS)” movie clip, add a line between lines 55 and 56…now 56 is blank…add the following code there…

SLIDE_2.onPress = function() {
        getURL("http://yoursite.com", "_blank");
}

I just began working with attempting to create a glass area that is substantially smaller than an 800×600 SWF , in fact I need to go no larger than 300×250. Please advise as to whether this is possible, as when I did import my 2 JPG images I hear the glass break and see my nonbroken image fall to revel the broken image but don’t see any shards

Thanks, somnamblst !

You can resize the final effect (as shown above) but the files you start with must both be 800×600.

This is due to the way Flash sees re-sized movieclips in relation to loaded content…the external content does not inherit the transformation of the host movieclip (as it really should).

If one or both of your images are smaller than 800×600, you’ll need to resize them first.

If you have two 800×600 images and still can’t get it to work, send me a zipped folder with your files and I’ll take a look.

Hey- thanks for the post.

Is there anyway to make the glass break after the animation of the first swf. ends, so the user is not involved and doesn’t have to click?

Thank you in advance-

Thanks for the buy, buattiramos !

In the help file there is a section called “HOW TO TRIGGER THE TRANSITION ” for general reference.

To trigger it from the first SWF , you would need to add the following code to that SWF ’s last frame (or add it to some sort of onComplete event if you are listening for one)...

this._parent.GLASS.gotoAndPlay("frm_FALL");

The above assumes that the “BreakingGlassV1” mc is named “GLASS” and is on the same timeline as the mc into which you are loading the first SWF .

Hi ZacharyKnight, is a nice work but I’ll need it for a fullscreen resolution based on the user screen. Any plan for a fullscreen version ?

That would be cool, herbalyser...but I won’t be building one, I’m afraid.

Do you have a version of this that works from an attached clip from the library?
