I solved the problem:

1) Save the XML , menu.xml as UTF -8 file. Easy to do with Dreamweaver, menu Modify—>Page properties and for document encoding, choose UTF -8 (Unicode). 2) Change Character embedding of text to include accent. menu_mc.menu_text_mc.menu_text_anim_mc.menu_txt
