I think we have a new preloader God.

Very good, I’m trying to figure out how you have done it… hmm… I is it a huge y blur, or is it a fast moving object. Very interesting.

Good ideas, maybe expand your types of flash… offering too may preloaders at once will kill your sales.

Thanks, MrChuckles! Yes, it’s a huge y blur. You can change the amount of blur in the preview by clicking on the ‘settings’ button.

No worries, we have many other types of products in the pipeline. :) We had several concepts on preloaders that we wanted to realize, and doing them in sequence was more time-effective for us. We’re not concerned a great deal with initial sales, as we believe the real payoff is in contributing a quality product that will have value over the long run.

Again, thank you for the kind words! :D

Hi

Your preloader is awesome, I have a question, I am placing the preloader on my stage ( frame 1 ) and start my splash page on frame 2.. I’m getting an error and I cannot see the preloader when I publish my scene. Can you please help. I’m still a novice at Flash. I also have a effect that I am using in frame 2 but that does not work. Currently I’m working on flash cs4 as3

thanks

Hi

I was wondering could you lend some guidance. I am trying to your file as a preloader for a website.

So the main website is contained within the file mainSite.swf

This file is 3mb in size, so i want to create a seperate (smaller) preloader.swf file that will act as the first page the user hits, that will use your file and load the mainSite.swf, and display loading bar.

Just to show the user something while the main file is downloading.

Im having some trouble doing this

I have created a new swf file and copied the Counter Preloader movieclip onto frame 1.

Then i am using the following code on frame 2

var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(“mainSite.swf”); var loader:Loader = new Loader();

However its not working as it should, when i simulate download i dont get any loading bar, and counter preloader object is still visible on the stage, and funny things with the brightness are happened.

do you have any idea what i might be doing wrong, i can supply my preloader.fla file to you if you like.

Thanks
