Creative Portfolio Template

hi everybody, i’m havig the same issue as directly above.

i have several video galleries, the template seems programmed to just load anything in any given gallery, in my case it loads 4 thumbnails and then continues to load the .flv’s and only then it continues to load the other thumbnails. so basically by then anybody visiting the site is gone!

surely the template shouldn’t load ALL the videos. suppose one visits one gallery and chooses not to view any videos from it, why should bandwidth be wasted on loading those .flv’s?

has anyone figured out a way to have the galleries load ONLY the thumbnails?

or even better, has anyone figured out a way to have the videos load ONLY ONCE THEY ARE SELECTED , and not before?

Firstly, great template, it’s made my life so much easier.

I need to do a few things, if you kindly explain how its done:

1. change the font size. it’s a bit too small for my audience. 2. can I change the box size that holds the texts? I would like to make it bigger. 3. I tried deleting the ‘z’ logo and placing my own in the flash document but the file opened same as before (my logo didn’t load). What I did: I opened the file, and on lower right corner where it shows the individual component documents, I clicked on your logo file, clicked the image, deleted it and imported my image on that file and saved the doc. When I played it, it still showed your logo, not mine. How do I make it mine? 4. How do I add a paypal button (I have the html code) on my site?

I love the roll over of the main navigation at the top of the page. Are you able to point me in the direction of where I tutorial or file on here that i am able to use to get a similar effect?

Hey, great template, one of the best on Flashden! I am starting learning AS!

I just have one problem with loading swfs. When I add it via xml they are, or irrationaly moved by 20-30px left or playing incredibly fast, couple timest faster than in original swf file. Could You help me with solving this problem? I tried saving that swfs in AS2 , AS3, with Flash 9, 8, even with older and it is still the same.

Hey BigZ. Thanks for a very smooth template. I’ve been customising it and it just gets better and better, but your work has saved me so much time! I will announce the link when it’s up and running.

There is one issue to start with, i don’t want to hassle you guys too much with other possible questions as it looks like you’re very busy. There seems to be an inconsistency with the original file that i downloaded from FlashDen and the preview file. The mouse wheel support doesn’t seem to be working, not even on the original untouchable index page. But i have seen it working on other people’s websites that have purchased this template. On some others’ though it doesn’t. I am using a Mac, even though i doubt this would affect things.

Please reply to me, interactivity is very important to me and this just takes points off from the final result. Especially since the text boxes are so small, you definitely need to scroll down easily. Can you, or anyone else, please check and see what’s happening with the folder that i downloaded from here, at least so that i’ll know where the problem is?

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Great looking template! Really like it a lot. Before purchasing this template, I have a few questions;

1) I only want to use the portfolio section for a project I’m working on, is it possible to only load the portfolio gallery with my own XML file? Does it matter if my project has Stage.align “BL”?

2) Is it possible to have multiple galleries? Now you only have one gallery with 18 items in it when you click PORTFOLIO .

3) Can it also load YouTube movies in the portfolio section or only .flv’s?
