Can I set the image with a hyperlink? I mean, when a user click on the image, it will bring the user to the other webpage, not to the flickr page? How do I do that?

When using the flickr API, you need to link to their site. It’s written in their agreement. You can manage the link on your own only with plain images.

Not use Flickr api, can it?

flashedge

Not out of the box. Though you can still add links inside the description as HTML tags. They will show up when the user clicks on the info button.

This is how you create HTML Links: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

This is how you create them in AS3: http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/flash/as3link/

Please give me file, ok? 16958398@qq.com Thank you

What file? There is just code to use. I linked you to the needed tutorials.

If you want custom work you need to hire someone. Either insert simple html tags inside the caption directly in the xml files or modify the main class as showed in the urls I’ve written down. Contact me privately for further assistance. Thanks.

I just bought this and would like to redirect the “Galleries” button on the bottom menu to go to a website instead of having the Galleries Pop up. I can’t seem to figure out how to make that work. Please assist! Much appreciated.

flashedge

You can put external links inside the captions as HTML tags. If you want to alter the toolbar you’ll need to edit the main class.

I actually would like help taking out the bottom navigation. I just need a single photo gallery and do not need the bottom bar. Please advise. Thank you!

flashedge

Try setting toolbarAlwaysVisible to false in the album xml file. You might also set showAlbumOnStart to false too to avoid the initial menu.

Can you control the size of the thumbnails?

flashedge

Sure you can. Check out the xml setup and read the userguide.

Hello… I’ve had the gallery working for a good while then all the sudden it stopped loading the images… here is the debug code

Galleries array has loaded everything! There are 0 galleries. TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. at net.flashedge::DenseGallery/checkGalleryArray()

Can you help

Default-user

To help clarify the above I am pulling the images from Flickr…

One last thing if you would be so kind is that I would like to have pagination. Is there a setting for this?

Default-user

One more clarification… the error code above is not a compile error… it comes through the output window

Default-user

I’ve fixed the gallery, no need to answer that question. I would like to know about pagination if possible. Thank you, it’s a great gallery!

flashedge

I’m glad you sorted it out. :)

Pagination? It handles distinct galleries, that’s the “pagination”. Whenever it goes out of the screen it automatically scrolls. You can build your own navigation system and load just the component if you wish so.

No worries… last question is that when I move to other areas in my timeline I need to find a way to get rid of the thumbnails otherwise they show throughout the presentation. Any thoughts here?

flashedge
Just hide the whole container. The thumbnails will follow the same properties. If you’re working on the timeline, keep it there as object and trigger it’s visibility to save render power. For istance if your container is named “myGallery” where you loaded the component, set it like this:
myGallery.visible = false;
