Hi Nonmipare!
You can do that easily in the FLA file. Everything is properly named. There are 3 symbols… “linebig”, “linemedium” and “linesmall”. The numbers are created using these lines. Please change their colors to the ones you want.

There is some mistake with the html you are using on that page. Try removing noscript tags from the clock object.

The digits are created using lines ( shapes ).
There is only one digit… 8.
And, the lines are shown or hidden accordingly.
