Nice file!
Is there a way to do this without the domain purchasing options from Verio? – I want it just check for availability.

@melsteve
You can make the file use any domain name search engine available on the web by changing the URL that’s currently on the button.
In this example it’s using www.whois.net for the domain name and WHOIS lookup but can be easily changed for anything else. I’ve explained how to do this in the documentation too.
Cheers
It would be nice if it returned the results within the flash movie instead of sending you to the site.
Tip: bring the results in via a free web service.
Having trouble getting this to work inside another flash file. Works fine as a stand alone file but when I drop it into my flash template your file losses the ability to enter text or choose domain/whois options. Please assist me in finding a solution.
Thank You…..
@calwebman did u manage to get it working with the info i sent you?
Didn’t receive it or mabye it got over looked. Please send again. I’m really anxious to get this working. Thank You….
@calwebman
Re-sent the e-mails, let me know if you got them please.
I agree with shadow – I’m currently looking for a file that does this but returns the results in the swf not an external call to an html file… if anyone knows of something like this, please let me know
I must say the same as shadow and kengreenwood, the result sould return inside the swf, ilt will worth the double then now! But this is very great and usefull one!
demo is not work?
when it gets to work, I would like to see the work, to buy …
good luck
This would be a nice tool to have. Hope to see it working soon.

Without seeing your current flash file that you’re bringing my file into i can’t really say much that would help you. Make sure your file is AS2 and not AS3 . Also make sure all calls to the movie clip containing my file are full and correct. If you don’t manage to sort it out by trying the above out, then send me the file and i will have a look at it.
PS: Please reply directly to my email as you will get a quicker response that way.
