This pack let’s you create dynamic, living lights which the native static lights of Unity does not support.
There are three main options: Dimming, flickering and range-change.
You can mix and combine the effects as you please.
Say, a light that flickers heavily and grows from a range of 10m to 40m over the speed of 5 seconds.
This package includes: - The light controlling script. All features and settings for them available in the editor. No coding required. - Two premade prefabs for spot light and point light - The testscene from the webplayer
How to set up: 1. Make a light of your choice. Drag the script over to the light as a component. Done! 2. Drag a light out from one of the prefabs. Done!
How to use: There are 3 features which you can combine and experiment with to your hearts desires.
Flicker: Enabling this will cause the light to flicker (turning itself on and off), regulated by the given on and off time. There is also a random modifier (default 0) which will give your flickering random intervals.
Dimming: Enabling this will cause light intensity to fade and grow according to the given maximum intensity, minimum intensity and dimming speed. IMPORTANT : Maximum light intensity in Unity is 8, don’t try to exceed this in the settings!
Vary range: Enabling this will cause the range of your point or spot light to grow and decrease to lowest and highest range at the speed given.
Textures in test scene are from cgtextures.com.
