dynamic multi video gallery template

I played with this product for a few hours yesterday for the first time? It looks great!

A few questions though …

Is there a way to change the default ratio to 4:3 rather than the current 16:9? And might a future version be able to auto-detect the ratio and adjust accordingly if necessary?

Also, can any of the colors/sizes/dimensions be adjusted with CSS or must all of these be done in Flash? One area of concern is the amount of room for the video title in the right-hand panel. Many of my titles are longer than the horizontal space allows, and thus get truncated. (I had hoped the title would line-wrap if needed.) So I am hoping that I can do one or more of the following, preferably through CSS : reduce the font size; expand the width of the panel; and/or extend the height of the title area to allow for wrapping.

@stiffy, are you sure your mp4 is h.264 format. you can send your mp4 file to webstudio “at” webstudio.com.cn , I will test it with your mp4 video.

@Chasman, the current ratio is 4:3 instead of 16:9. please check it again. your another question, you need change the color ,title font size and title width in flash. It is not difficult only need a little time. thanks

Thank you for your response. Please take a look at these two links. The first one is the result of the exact contents of your ZIP file with no alterations to any files. In the second link, the only edits I have made is to the XML files. As you can see, both launch in 16:9 mode and the user has to manually switch it to 4:3.

I found that files saved as M4v appear to work, while MP4 /Movs saved using the H264 codec do not.

@Chasman, I think post the comment error on here. you bougth the video template 2 instead of this. for multi video template 2. you only need open the first frame actionscript. delete the last line code. it will be ok. please try it.

@stiffy , I am sure it can play mp4 file. I just try it again. it works fine. the mp4 file comes from my client.

I bought this because of the ability to deep link. I have the player on my home page, however when I enter the URL that appears in the share box – it opens up the player in a new page that is just the player by itself (not embedded on the front page) Is there a work around?

I’m having trouble setting the default aspect ratio to 16:9. I opened the .fla file in Adobe Flash, selected “as”, and went to the Action Script. I made a new line at the VERY bottom of the script, and pasted the following code:

my_video.flv_control.btn_video_full.onRelease();

I then saved the file, re-uploaded it to the server, and the videos still play in 4:3. Could you tell me what’s wrong? Here is my site’s test link: www.fingerboardrevolution.com/gallery2/index.html

Is it possible to use video from an external site without having to download it? Ie. a YouTube link? I don’t want to have to stream the videos from my own server.

@noahmintz. you can use external flv path for this file. for example like this flv url: ” http://www.yourdomain.com/video/myvideo.flv” , if you want to use this style url please check the FAQ , for use youtube video. becase the youtube video is a steaming video. I don’t think this file can play it. thanks.

Great script. using it since a year now. Only the thumbnail part is a pain, I wish that one was automated.

also, is there a way I can load some videos from Youtube?

We bought the video gallery and it is simply great.

Now we habe much more entries in the submenu as expected. So we need to have a scroll-feature for the submenu. Is this acually available?
