Dynamic xml list with lightbox

Hey Wangruyi, first of all, i must congratulate you on your excellent work.

I had no problems on configuring and designing the script, altough i have 2 questions to see if they could be implemented, they are not problems just ideias.

1st – Your thumb gallery it’s pretty straight forward, just add the thumbnails and they populate the rows, but in this particular case, i need too populate in both horizontal and vertical, they are just square thumbs with no description, so after the 3rd thumb i want it to break and populate the next row, i was able to turn it to horizontal, but they keep straight forward, not breaking for the next line, is it possible to add a script with a variant to change the number of thumbs in a row and then populate the next row.

2nd – Is it impossible to make a little fade in of the black background and to have some alpha, in this case the background turns completly black.

i bought your nice file, and put all the neaded files together like you wrote in your help.txt to be seen here http://www.graphics4web.de/kunden/test/index.html it works online, everything is ok and cool

but offline on MAC it doesn’t work, Safari neather, there is noch popupblocker or something active, to see what happens, i downloaded the originial http://www.codefidelity.com/blog/?page_id=7 and it happens in the same way to me, nothing offline, but online with exactly the same browser everything is fine. any idea to that? i feel sooooooo stupid binski

@binski. I think I have give tips on intro of this file. this file need test it online. It cannot work offline for js lightbox package. if you really want to use it offline. you need create a virtual server environment.

Hi. I just bought this file and I am very happy with it. I see that the tech support you give here is very good also. My question is: I want to use this with http://randomous.com/tools/floatbox/demo.php

It looks a bit similar to lightbox, can you tell me what do I have to change in the file to make it work with floatbox.

@altin. if you want to use the floatbox. I think you need learn about the floatbox first. sorry. I don’t think I have time to learn about it. about the group function, before you ask me. there are some peoples ask me the same question, but I haven’t found the way to make it works so far. if I can make it work. I will update it . thanks.

I am busy customizing this file, and I have one question.

I want to be able to create my own direct links to lightbox windows. I understand how to use the automatically generated list you provided, and I understand how to update the xml file. However, I don’t know how to use the correct getURL request to pull something from the xml file without using the list.

If I wanted to make a button manually that opens a window for item 2 in your list, what would the tag look like?

I’m looking at the one in your document:

getURL(“javascript:SWFDelegate(’”this.contentinfo”’, ’”this.swfwidth”’,’”this.swfheight”’,’” this.title”’)”);

... and I need to know how to call the xml items directly.

Can the auto-scroll be turned off (standard scroll bar)?
