Dynamic XML Map/Information board.

Unfortunately my file was written in flash cs4 and AS3 (make sure you check the file info at the top right of this page for actionscript version and flash type.)

To reproduce the file in AS2 would require most of it to be re-written. If you want me to do that i can but for a fee i’m afraid. Otherwise i could take a look at the files you are using and see if there is some kind of work around. Just drop me an email along with all of the files used at:

yup I notice one of your components needed AS3 to work, when I tried to compile it using AS2 .

I could even deal with a popup window work-around like I am using right now for testing, if I could have the window sized to a certain dimension when it opens.

I will send you the main files that tell the whole thing what to do. just to see if you can help..

Sorry, how do I change the name to the xml file ?

To change the name of the xml file used open your .as file in flash or flex and the line needed to change is commented.

the file isn’t directly customisable in that way using XML , but dependent on your level of skill with flash can be easily done yes.

I need to be able to specify the URL to the state XML file as one of the params or as a URL param. Can I do it with this map?

I see the Resolution is 550×400. Is that the only choice or can I resize to say 800×600. By the way this seems like a great file esp for my project.

Also the grey box popup – how customizable is it. Can I place a image/logo on top and text at the bottom?

I’m using this file for a Flash application, but I need to make the size of the stage larger for my project.

I’ve changed the stage dimensions in the fla file, but when I add XML markers it is causing several errors. Can you tell me what to change to properly do this?
