DynamicField v4.0 - Multiple pages

Note to (potential) buyers: Due to my absence I have not been able to answer a lot of questions on my files. I will not get back to any questions asked earlier, but I will answer those asked from now on. So please, if you still have the same question, repost it here.

What happens when you have created many top category tab buttons? do does a scroll bar appear to accommodate them all? How does the file manage this?

duneglow, The file doesn’t manage this at all, considering you usually don’t have that many tabs.

I would like to make my own separate button that loads a specific html in the dynamicField. What’s code will do this?

Try something like this:

xml.load('dynamicfield.xml');

It should then reload everything.

But I don’t know how to integrate it in your file.

Can I change the color scheme from the css or xml? Not fonts enstuff, but srollbar color, background color, etc… thanks…

nuttri, I’m not sure. I don’t have any time to look into it, but it seems from the website you should be able to do it with a little bit of AS knowledge. Or you might want to find someone to do it for you.

riffster, no you can’t change those settings from xml, only settings within the textfield.

Hello, its a nice concept this file using external html and css, i’m just totally lost with flash and action script , so i don’t know how to hide the balloons, the autor options… Are they an option for that or should i delete it ? Also to include this flash inside a frame to my web page, i would like give a fixe size and hide the button resize but i don’t find this « buton’s _visible » to false as well as size option. I tried to strech everything according to the size frame but that don’t work… Other thing i purshased the v4 version and still inside the fla DynamicField v2, its normal ?

Hi, in the file go to the DynamicField v2 movieclip, and go to the actions layer. In the first line of the actionscript put the following:

resizeButton._visible = false;

The v2 is still from when i made the v2, so there’s nothing wrong with the file you downloaded.

To get rid of the balloons you can just delete them and you can delete all the actionscript from that actions layer too.

this is great… one question: I’ve resized all the fields to be a bit more compatible with my site, and I cannot seem to find where I can move the anchor that says where the text is going to be inserted. I can see the + there but can’t find where I can move it. I’ve moved the mask and the text area, but they still have an auto indent. any help would be great!!

Hi, I’m about to buy this component, but need to make sure first if:

- can I customize the scrollbar? (buttons shape, color, etc) - the html can be loaded from an external file with its own CSS - is a draggable component, not a movie project - I can create multiple instances on the same stage using duplicateMovieClip and every instance keeps its own functionality (its own external html file)

what do you mean “Every page is loaded from it’s own .html file”? I was under the impression that flash could not load html content. Do you mean html formated text loaded with the xml? Also does it load swfs? I noticed your preview the text is fading out and images are not showing up. It was not doing this before so maybe it needs your attention. thanks for your response and help.
