Ok I am new to pre-loaders, now when I put this in my web directory, it acts as index.html and becomes the main page and then when its done it loads the page without me having to click continue or anything?
Hi HypedDesign,
A preloader gets palced within your first frame of a flash file (.fla) It preloads the content so that the flash file plays smoothly, and doesn’t load “piece by piece” when the loader reaches 100% it moves on to your content of the flash file, eg: frame 2 in the main timeline.
The E.V.A preloader stops the main timeline all by itself so you simply have to place it in the first frame of your flash file for it to work. You do not need to click continue or anything it will simply start playing your flash file.
I hope this answers your question, feel free to post again if it didn’t.
Thanks.
I dont have a flash site tho, the site is .html, can I still use a preloader?
No unless you have a flash intro you want to load. Why is your html taking long to load? You can PM me if you would like some website advise or help I would try and assist you to the best of my abilities.
Preloaders are used within flash files so that the content is all loaded before playing the file. This way you are insured that the user gets to see the flash site/file as intended.
Ohh, I wanted to use it as an entrence to my site, because it looks cool
