Really nice job.
Like the way the files appear as a lightbox in the same window.
I think if you make it one click on thumbnail to the left to show preview of pic/mp3/video would make it better instead of double click.
But double click on item to execute or preview is the usual way so everyone directly will do it right.

I think you can. There is the applicationLauncher that loads all the SCMS3 applications MultiTextEditor, CSSEditor and FileManager). You can change all styles and artworks in that way you need them. All icons and graphics are bundled into two separate fla’s so it will be easy for you to change everything you need. If you like i can make custom works for you – mail me. Additionally there is the support forum if you have questions or suggestions.

Until now you can set for each user the directory in which he can start uploading and managing files. Shared folders are not possible with the current version but will come soon including a visual user management. This will be part of a complete bundle. Please stay tuned. Thanks.

There are no restrictions in the FileManager itself nor in the php environment. Maybe your server has some restrictions. If you have uploaded all files to your server please navigate to
yourdomain/applicationdir/help
Click ‘FileManager’ and you will get the Quickstart guide. In the chapter ‘System requirements’ you will see your actual server configuration and some information about the settings.

I can’t tell if it previews FLVs at full size (ie test uploads are just small) or if it automatically reduces the size of the preview. Ideally, I’d like to be able to preview at 640X480. Also, is it possible to preview PDFs (ie launch acrobat and open)?

The video preview was designed only to have an overview, not as a videoplayer. But it is a separate module and can be customised. And preview of other file types like PDF can be realised with little changes too.
Just bought this app and set this up in all of one minute!

All graphic elements (icons, buttons) are located in two separate files and can be customised easily. Changing English texts maybe a little bit more work but is possible. All files are included as source code (fla, as) so you can make all changes you need. Additionally there is the support forum and I will help you if I can. See http://www.flash-content-management.de

Hello, Good job ! can you create a “user” profile with viewinfg and downloading functions and an “Admin” with upload, delete, directory create and delete functions ?
As a guest, on the demo site I was able to upload and delete some files !

Can you turn off the CSS & Text Editor and just use it to upload/delete files on the server??

Thanks for the quick answer and sorry for more questions but you must understand that I am looking for a good Upload/Delete file that I will come back and buy for many websites in the future so it must be the right one.
When I say Can I turn off Text Editor & CSS Editor, I mean will the icons disapear from the left menu and they will not be able to use those modules? Also the Settings will only appear for the Super Admin (me) and not the users I set correct? My last question is can I also turn off buttons like New Folder/Copy/Cut/Paste
This has fantastic features and I cannot figure out why you have not sold hundreds of this file?
The FileManager can only do this file functions you mentioned. In the FileManager package is NO Settings Manager included – therefore you must purchase the FlashCMS Bundle.
With the FlashCMS Bundle you can set via xml files unique for each user which applications he can use (and only this icons will appear in the menu)
It is NOT possible to deactivate buttons in the FileManagers toolbar, sorry for that.
But once again: the SettingsManager is only part of the FlashCMS bundle and not of the FileManager package: please see here, how the FileManager works in standalone mode:

Hello Karl,
this questions comes up often – but sorry, translating is a little bit complicated but possible. If you are able to edit some lines of AS code and publish the application with flash CS3 and up, it is possible. Maybe there will come a future release with alnguage files – stay tuned.

Its interesting but I FOUND two BUGS !!
1.- Can´t disable toolbar botons at user acounts. For example, desactivate the button “delete”
2.- NO HAVE LOGOUT BUTTON (Its important for security reasons)

that are no bugs. As descrived in other postings, it is not possible to disable buttons in the toolbar. You can set a user to guest so he can upload only media files, can’t rename files to php. You can specify the start directory so a user has only access to one special folder and the shared directory.
A logout button will come in the next version, you are right it’s missing. But in case of closing your browser the session will be destroyed. Try it by yourself and wright to me (maybe email?) if I’m wrong. Addionally there is a setting in your php.ini called session.gc_maxlifetime. after that time the session will be destroyed automatically.
