Well, I didn’t take your advice, I went ahead and bought it anyway.

Guess what? Deep-linking works perfectly inside another AS3 product!

Here’s what persuaded me to go ahead and buy it. Looking back over this discussion area, you are still very active despite the fact that this template is no longer “new”. And that is a rarity around AD.

You always do your best to help people, even if you have to answer the same question multiple times. Don’t think I’ll need it as you have some of the best documented code I’ve seen since I bought one of lydian’s products. But it’s nice to know you still support your product.

superb work, been using it for a while now, just a couple of questions on customization if I may…

1. Can I add an image/background image to the category sections for example the about, email pages etc or indeed any of the pages!

2. Can I also add a background image to the main page that will resize as the content does?

Is it possible to have an external link for each news item?

I mean, i don´t want to open the news page, i want each news item on the main page go to an external link.

how can i do that?

Is it possible to change any other font attributes in the text sections besides color? I’m trying to use the “bold” attribute and it doesn’t seem to work.

Would this be a case where I would have to embed the font and how would I do that?

Hey, I’ve purchised your template and I really like it, but it’s quite hard for me to adjust it to my needs. I’m trying to edit the text and I already tried out a lot of things to make the text space (I guess the text width) larger so I can write more informations than what fits in the preset space. I even tried to change it in the textmodule.fla which kind of works, but then the allignment of the letters aren’t right anymore. I’m not so familiar with flash so I don’t know how to change it but not messing it up.

The other problem I have is with the flv video I wanna add to the portfolio. Sometimes it works to add it sometimes it doesn’t, Is there a perfect size (640×360?) so that it fits in the frame or can I even adjust the space for the video? And is there a specific preference I’ve to consider while rendering the flv so that it works in regards to the bitrate or such things? I’ve tried to change the x and y position under the portfolioitem.xml content root but i’m not sure what I have to put. I wanna use the portfolio mainly for video data to show my reels and work (I’m a filmmaker) and I’d appreciate your help here, since I’m already desperately spending a lot of time to find the right adjustments.

Thank you very much for you quick help, I’ve customized the portfolio now and it works out very well. With the text I’ve managed to change the size and I’ve worked on the positioning, the only problem which is left is that the first line of the text has a different starting point than the other rows, so the beginning is off center but the allignment of every other row is in right line. I guess you can’t do much about it, especially because it doesn’t help changing anything in the config.xml.

Quick question for you. Is it possible to not utilize the Title 2 (Used to be) and Title 3 subheadings (On Every Milk Carton) in the text module?

If I delete the Title 2 and Title 3 lines in news1.xml, the module won’t load. If I delete the color and positioning data for Title 2 and Title 3 in the config.xml file, it has no effect. There is still a large space/gap between the Title 1 data and the beginning of the textual content.

I just want there to be one title and then the textual content to begin just below the title, rather than the big space/gap taken up by the Title 2 and Title 3 areas.

Just answered my own question. I went into the textmodule.fla, moved the mc-Text up, didn’t use any values for the Title 2 and 3 fields and all is well.

I can’t begin to tell everyone just how flexible and powerful this template is!
