Sorry, that java version is:
java version “1.6.0_11”
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_11-b03)
Java HotSpot™ Client VM (build 11.0-b16, mixed mode, sharing)
I just noticed the smiley in the error output I posted earlier. I wish I could preview my posts. Here it is again:
Exception in thread “main” java.lang.NullPointerException at

Could you send me the word file that you’re using and I can test it and figure out what is going on? I want to post my email address, but if you click on my avatar and send me a message, I can respond to you with my email.
Is there any way to get this to work with the TextArea component?
Right now, it will not work in the TextArea component because of the differences between them and TextFields.
This is very good work! I’m buying this one.
Thinking about purchasing this. Will it will work with textfields created in code or do they have to be stage bound instances?
Thanks
It will work with TextFields created in code.
Just bought this and it seems to use the stage’s coordinate system to draw the highlights. My text fields are contained within their own movie clip objects that aren’t positioned at root 0,0, therefore the underlines are appearing in the wrong place. Anyway to get the higlights to use the same coordinate system of the object that contains the textfield?
Thanks.
@accelerobloke – Sorry about that. I didn’t account for that. I will be looking into this as soon as I can (probably tonight).
Thanks dude, would be much appriciated, this looks to be a good little tool
Hi, I was just wondering if you’ve had any luck with that nested movie clip issue?
Hey, I was wondering if anyone was able to create a wordlist based a language other than english. I tried to build one in french but it’s 3 times bigger (~1.5Meg) and the actionscript execution timeout pops before being able to do anything.
Any hint on how to create a french wordlist would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks
Suggested spelling is not coming up in the Context Menu.
Works fine in Flash standalone player, but not in browser.
Menus are definitely enabled; textfield is located within loaded MovieClip (not on root).
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Oh come on, guys! If you’re not going to support the app, then you shouldn’t sell it.
Should I be asking about a refund instead of support?
@mlscott2 I’m sorry about the delay in response. We were out of town and we just moved, so we had a lot going on.
I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be working for you. I quickly created a new Flash file, loaded another MovieClip in containing the TextField, and I tried it in a browser, and the context menu appeared for me just fine.
If the context menu is working in the standalone player, it’s a puzzle to me as to why it wouldn’t be working in the browser.
Sorry I don’t know more.
Thanks for the response, dontangg.
I’m really stumped by this one. I’ve investigated further and have found the source of the problem is not your app. In fact, I’m having a problem getting ContextMenu to work within any movieClip loaded with loadMovie.
is it possible to call a function to hide the red underlines?
