Flex USA Map Component is compiled swc component for Adobe Flex Builder 3. This component is made for those Flex coders who do not want to spend additional time making their own map, but instead use this one, customise its look and behavior, and thus, save plenty of time for main project.
Features:
1)adjust the appearance of the map with Actionscript 3, add behaviours and user interactions.
2)adjustable items are: state’s fill, state’s otline, state’s abbreviation.
3)Font used for states’ abbreviations is TradeGothic LT Extended and it is embedded into the component. Note, font file is not included into the package.
4)Edit source fla file if you need to complitely chnge the appearance of the map.
Component package contains MapUSA.swc component, Flash CS3 fla source file and sample Flex Builder 3 project. This project contains basic examples on how to edit the map. Code comments will help Actionscript 3 beginners to work with the map.
