Hi

Great looking product :)

What cart APIs does it support, Google Checkout? Paypal ?

Hi, thanks!

It does not inherently support any API . API implementation must be done by the developer. By using flashvars when embedding the application, you can change the options available for the displayed item (combo box for different colors, numeric stepper for quantity, etc) as well as the texts and images.

The click action on the add-to-cart button (the image can be also changed also btw) can be changed so that a new page/URL can be called with GET parameters or POST parameters, or it can be made to call a Javascript function along with the necessary variables. Using these 3 add-to-cart actions, you or your developer can easily implement any checkout / basket APIs.

Extensive documentation is included in this application which should teach you everything you’ll need to set the application properly.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to comment here :)

Hello again,

You can change the styling of some texts (name, or price and description) and also the skin of the “add to cart” button. Sadly, the text boxes, radio buttons and drop down boxes which are used to customize the product are not.. I retained these as standard Flex controls.

Thank you for your fast response.. I forgot to ask one last question. Do you have to do edits in Flex Builder or can I use Flash w/AS3?

You can edit the source code and compile it using Flex only. However, you can also use the pre-compiled one included and just edit the XML configuration and the flashvars in your HTML .

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I’m trying to integrate this into the Q Creative – xml website template by 50andJACK, but I’m not having any luck with it so far. Can this even be done?

Also, I’ve noticed that the folders BIN -DEBUG, BIN -RELEASE, and LIBS folders are empty and the BIN /ASSETS folder does not carry the sub-folder PREVIEW as referenced in the SETTINGS .XML file in the BIN folder.

Did I miss something during my downloading of the file or is the system designed this way?

Please help me out here as I am getting desperate.

Regards,

Steven Parris Barbados

Hello,

Sorry but this is for non-Flash-templated e-commerce websites. The reason being is that this relies on flashvars in the html embed tag to display a single product for sale. You would not be able to use it inside a Flash template.

Please tell me if the description is misleading, I will change it if needed.

Also, the preview images/settings were not included in the download package (my fault), I will add them in in the near future.

Sorry for the inconvenience, if integrating to a Flash template was your sole purpose for buying this, i recommend that you contact support and ask them to have your money refunded. http://support.envato.com

Thank you for your prompt response. I really had hoped that this module would have done what I needed, but unfortunately it was not to be so.

I would really appreciate your uploading the missing files to the download package though. I’ll keep the module, as I may be able to use it sometime in the future, so I’ll not be requesting a refund.

Thank you again…

Thanks,

I’ll put together the files and upload it on the weekend. For the meantime, you can try right-clicking on the preview to check out the HTML source to see how it’s used there.
