Thanks for the reply. I really like the simplicity of this gallery and got it to work with minimal complications. I had read through the previous posts in some detail particularily smm09 and thefourth’s where swf files are mentioned but you other formats such as .avi or perhaps call a javascript slideshow with the xml file?

I haven’t given up hope yet! (o:

Hi matt,

No .avi support either I’m afraid. Also, calling a javascript function would have to be programmed into the flash file, as I’m not aware of any way to do it from the xml only.

Hi! Just purchased this as it looks GREAT and perfect for a project I’m working on.

Am running into a problem tho, after adding everything to my source folder and embedding into my page it shows the grey box and a 9/9 in a static loading gif but nothing else!?

I downloaded and added tweener but that didn’t help…. Have checked all the paths I can find and they seem fine as well. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Erbl,

Its hard to tell specifically, but it looks to me like the swf is breaking before its loading its data, which means something fundamental is going wrong, like the xml file is not found. In this file, the default xml path is “pics.xml”, so the xml file needs to be called pics.xml and needs to be located in the same folder as the swf. Just double check this.

If this still doesn’t work, the next thing you can do is re export the fla and this should then show you the error in the optput panel of whatever it cannot find. If you go this route, email me the error and I’ll attempt to interpret it.

Hope this helps.

Hi iamdok.

I checked ALL paths and they are fine. pics.xml is in the same file as the swf.

I re-exported the fla and it showed that the caurina tweeners were not in the right place. Changed re-exported with no errors, re-uploaded with what seems to be the correct file structure but it still wont work.

To be honest I’m getting really frustrated with this now

Hi Erbl,

I noticed from your page source that you are using swfobject modified.js ,I have never tested the item using that and so my next suggestion is to use the normal swfobject instead, as I have done in my example index.html file I’ve sent to you.

Hi.

Yeah, we spotted that as well and have corrected it, also put the swf in an Iframe, now it all works great!

Thanks for the help

iamdok,

One question before I buy your item.

Can you give me an html ready file for this gallery?

iamdok,

I have a problem now, I’m trying to change background in the FLA file, and I get tons of errors when publishing, and I can’t get to put a logo on top of the gallery either. Please help me out,

Thanx. moco

Hi moco, I’ve replied to your email. There is no background in this item, so I don’t really understand your question. I will need some more info. Reply to my email and I’ll try to help you out.
